Major Accountabilities Lead /Supportsurgicalfreight initiatives Be the SPOC /ProjectLead forseveral transportationtopics Budget: Supportwith the preparation of the annual carrier budget + monitoring Overseethe overall shipment flows Cross collaboration with manufacturing sites, 3PL’sproviders, and distribution centers on transfers and transportation needs between sites Interface betweenTransportationSXandGlobal Transportation,APL Supply Chain HUB, EL Supply Chain / Logistics Operation,Warehouses, IT,etc. Attendweekly orchestrator calls with the countries andstakeholders from other functions (S&OP,WH&D, Customer Operations)/ lead and coordinatethe transportation topics Collaborate with our procurement teamfor RFQsand ad-hoc freight cost analysis Perform “ad-hoc”analysisand on‑on statistics Active participation in continuous improvement process (CIP) by completing CIP projects to drive savings towards financial targets Measure & improve service performance (on-time, OTIF…) Resolve transportation routing errors, late pickups/deliveries Support Global and Regional financial targets through operational excellence Key Performance Indicators Regional freight expense as % of sales & savings On-time delivery, carrier spend, poi, and product “brand protection Key service metrics (damages, on-time delivery- shipped on time and shipped cost per unit) WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON Relevant education enabling successful performance in logistics, supply chain, or related fields Experience in transportation management, freight forwarding, vendor management, or supply chain operations Strong technical understanding of logistics processes, customs compliance, and GxP‑aligned documentation practices Behaviors that include proactive problem‑solving, clear communication, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
