The Boiler Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling biomass and oil-fired boiler systems, as well as a turbine generator, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. This individual will perform routine operational troubleshooting, minor repairs, and daily operation and maintenance of dry kilns.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain high-pressure boiler systems and related equipmentMonitor boiler performance and make adjustments as neededConduct regular equipment inspections and identify maintenance needsRespond quickly and safely to equipment malfunctions and emergenciesPerform water treatment activities related to boiler operationsAssist with maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systemsFollow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsAssist with preventative and routine maintenance activitiesWork closely with other team members to maintain efficient facility operationsTrain other plant personnel on boiler operations as directedParticipate in safety meetings and inspectionsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Trade certification or Associate's degree required.Valid Maine High Pressure (HP) Boiler License required.1-5 years of boiler operation or related industrial experience preferred.Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and performing minor repairs.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.Ability to work rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 operation.Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to workplace safety.No visa sponsorship is available for this position
