Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Helpdesk Support Technician to join their team in Welkom, Free State . This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. You will ensure that all IT support requests are handled efficiently and effectively, maintaining high levels of user satisfaction. This position offers a blend of remote and in-office work, allowing for flexibility while ensuring critical support tasks are managed seamlessly. Key Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and remote access tools. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to company systems. Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Helpdesk technician or in a similar IT support role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications. Experience with network troubleshooting and remote support tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and customer service skills.
